Context

We are currently pursuing a degree in game & web development, and so, we have been tasked with working on a documentary about a female student with ASD that is going to be assisting her very first university lecture. The aim is to convey emotions and allow the person, who is watching and interacting with the documentary, to put themselves in the student's place and to better understand a person with ASD.

Who is working on this project?

Teachers: Minica Panchetti (Institute of Technology of Tarbes, France), Cherie Lacey, Raphael Marczak (University of Waikato, New Zealand)
Students: Marina Jennequin, Boris Rocchietti (Institute of Technology of Tarbes, France)
Author: Julie Boistier (Institute of Technology of Tarbes, France)

What’s expected of us ?

A 3D scene

  • represent an university’s lecture hall, people and objects in 3D ;
  • decide on an artistic direction ;
  • use the Unity game engine and Blender ;
  • make it able to stop the scene, accelerate, slow down and loop.

A documentary website

  • built in the form of a notebook page (e.g Life is Strange) ;
  • conceive a mockup with some required elements (an image, a text, an audio, a button to access the game) ;
  • take into account our author’s point of view.

An itch.io page

  • present our project ;
  • to communicate news about the project’s development ;
  • write the dev logs (which you’re reading right now).
